I Need a Run, STAT

Me giving lip service at the Duplex in Manhattan

My stress level has increased recently. It’s probably due to a combination of long hours and lack of exercise. If I could, I’d go for a run every single day. It’s the best method I have to de-stress. I haven’t gone for a run in over a week. I had every intention of going for one today, but then I had to stay late at the hospital, plus I developed a fever and sore throat (please don’t let me be sick!), plus it’s raining heavily outside. I’m too tired to say more. But I’m hoping I will be able to run tomorrow. Goodness, I need it.

Also, just in case anyone out there is curious what my schedule is for the next year, here ya go:

July – December: In-patient psychiatry
January: In-patient medicine
February: In-patient neurology
March: Neurology consults
April: Out-patient medicine
May: Out-patient medicine
June: In-patient medicine

I need some hot tea and a bath, STAT.

Wow, looks like you’ve got a lot on your plate. Can’t believe you have your schedule for the next year already.

I feel ya on the exercise bit. I usually have time to run and do some weight training sometime in the middle of the craziness but this week is not one of those weeks. I feel bad because I’ve started feeling more tired lately. Not to mention a bit cranky. I need some of those endorphins soon. Let’s hope we both have some time to get back into our regular exercise cycle.
