I’m Not Alone

I’m so pooped right now and should be eating or sleeping and not blogging (what’s new, I know…)
But I just had to write down a quick thought from the day. I was feeling so overwhelmed the other day, and then my friend Katrina sent me an email telling me about how overwhelmed she felt as an intern (and still does). And well, the gist is that it made me feel a lot better.
I basically live in a hospital right now. It’s a very strange and bewildering experience. I feel so lost and confused most of the time. I really can’t believe that I’m actually a doctor writing orders for my patients when I really feel like I don’t have a clue most of the time.
My patient expired last night. Luckily, my resident was on the case, and he was there to back me up and double check what I was doing.
I could say so much more, but just don’t have the energy to get my thoughts well organized.
As much as I don’t wish anyone to have the experiences that I’m having, it’s so comforting to know that I’m not alone.
