All My Friends Are Doctors

It’s Friday evening. I only had to work 10 hours today, but I’m still pretty darn tired. It’s probably because I haven’t had a day off in like 12 days.

I realized today that I have very few non-doctor friends right now. It’s definitely related to the fact that I spend 99.9% of my time inside a hospital.

Not much time left over to make connections with the outside world.

I’m on call tomorrow.

And then I have Sunday off.

Sooooo looking forward to it.

But for now, it’s sushi time!

If there’s one food genre I miss in Dominica it’s good Thai, but hearing that you’re going for the Sushi makes my mouth water.

I feel my friends from back home growing farther away. Every day I eat, breath, and talk about medicine with my friends in school. I hope to rekindle those relationships post Ross. It sounds like you’re in a transition phase, waiting to have the free time for your other life. I hope it’s there for you when you do.
