Today was my 6th day in a row working at the hospital. Tomorrow is Saturday and I’m on call, which will make my 7th day. I was basically on call “q 2″ this week. I’m tired. But I am enjoying neurology consults. I actually had time today to perform a very thorough exam on my patient, including a Mini Mental Status Exam, which resulted in me diagnosing my patient with severe dementia, which for some reason had not thus far been picked up by anyone.
As always, I’d love to share more, but it’s been “too long” “much too long” since I’ve had a day off. So, it’s dinner, shower and bedtime for me.
I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a long and challenging day at the hospital.
