Mortals Never Know

“The sky is filled with good and bad that mortals never know.”

- Led Zeppelin, “The Battle of Evermore”

Chinatown

Had a pretty good day today at the hospital. Geriatric psychiatric patients galore. Went to the gym after work. Sweating is my therapy.

Chinatown

In lieu of words, please enjoy the photos from this post. Shots of Chinatown, both taken from the Manhattan Bridge during my run on Sunday.

Love your photos!  They make me want to grab my camera and hop on a plane to New York.  (I suspect my program director wouldn’t be too happy with me.)

thanks!! while I would love you to grab your camera and hop on a plane to New York, I understand the disdain you’d receive from your program director. :) instead, why don’t you just grab your camera and head out into your ‘hood? ;)

I do…but your hood looks slightly more interesting than mine.  Or perhaps you’re just braver in going into the interesting areas than I am.  I fear some of the interesting parts of my city.

it may be more interesting, but in my experience, you can find interesting things anywhere, if you look hard enough! but yes, it does take a bit of bravery, at times…do explore your world, but do it safely…perhaps a bright orange safety vest? ;)

“The sky was filled with a thousand stars,
While the sun kissed the mountains blue.
And eleven moons played across the rainbow,
Above me and you.”  – Jimi Hendrix, One Rainy Wish

I love that you know lyrics from songs when I was young. Chinatown brightens up an otherwise gray-brown cityscape. Nicely done!

I appreciate good music and lyrics. And I am an old fart who likes to complain about the lack of good musicians and creativity in the world today. ;)

Glad that you appreciate the same visual wonders that I do!
